Today is great! We are here at Jammin Java with some excellent street teamers, writing out some postcards, and posters and giving out some tickets to help us sell for the upcoming Jammin Java shows with The Bigger Lights on June 26! It is a double-header. Early show at 5:30 and late show at 8:30. tickets are $10 in advance. If you can help sell tickets please let me know!!! We are giving away a Hotspur logo'd bass drum head to the person who sells the most tickets!

We also have a free show in baltimore @ ESPN zone on June 17, and we'll play at the Eye Bar in DC for a 21+ show on June 10! Come on out and hang with us.

Yes, we are still alive and kicking! We had a nice little run of shows last week in College Park, MD, Davis & Elkins College in WV and Princeton U in NJ, so a big thanks to everyone who checked us out at one of those shows and anyone who helped promote! Nice work. Well done.

HOLY SHIT GUYS, YOU KILLED IT!!! Thank you thank you thank you times one trillion for all of your help with the 9:30 Club show - we couldn't have done it without you, and I truly mean that. You guys are the core of our success and have gotten us to where we are now. We can't wait to continue growing with you!

Congrats to Amy Hicks, who sold a whopping 25 tickets to the show and won the free private acoustic performance! Honorable mention goes to the ever-so-reliable Lebby & Sarah, birthday girl Marissa Bartley, and one of our oldest fans, Andi Hubbell! Make sure you guys claim your free merchandise at some point!

And on to more big things - we have some big shows coming up that we need help promoting, including DC101's Shamrockfest (I think we're playing the main stage!) on March 13, Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis on March 6 (acoustic), Webster Hall in NYC on March 1, Rams Head Live in Baltimore on April 10, and The Beat Kitchen in Chicago (benefitting Rock For Autism) on March 28. We'll also be performing at Darwin's in Austin, TX alongside the SxSW festival!

Due to the snow, the 9:30 Club show has been rescheduled for February 19th. Not much has changed-- the lineup will be the same, but the show is just a little earlier as the doors will open at 5pm. Mark your calendars again because there is going to be a Hotspur party in DC and you won’t want to miss it! All tickets that were purchased for the February 5th date will be honored at this show.

We know that everyone has been promoting their hearts out and we thank our fans for all that they do. You are incredible! Since we have a little more time to do so, please continue promoting in whatever way you can whether it is online, by word of mouth or by flyering. Also, if you believe that you can sell a few more tickets for the show, please send Scott an email. You can also purchase tickets from our webstore. If you buy a 5-pack of tickets, you get your ticket for FREE which saves you $15 and you’ll also avoid a $4.25/ticket service charge and the $4 order charge by ordering through us. Let’s sell this place out and make it the BIGGEST AND BADDEST show ever!

The Heads/Tails download cards will still be sold at this show (with the Heads/Tails Remix and Skydive Acoustic) AND we will be auctioning off a signed acoustic guitar at the show! Awesome, right?! We think so!

HOTSPUR IS HEADLINING THE 9:30 CLUB!! And we are so freakin stoked. As most of you know, this is one of, if not THE best club on the East coast, and we will be headlining on February 5th. We want to sell the place out and show 'em who's boss, and we're gonna need your help! Here's the deal-

- We will be having 2 or 3 street team meetings before the show. None are confirmed yet, but I am hoping to do VA this Saturday the 9th, Montgomery County on Saturday the 16th, and something closer to Baltimore on maybe the 17th or so. Please send me an email and let me know your availability on these dates.

- We also have a video shoot for Heads/Tails coming up (details TBA), and we want our best fans (you) to be involved!! If you sell 4 or more tickets for the 9:30 club show, not only will you get your 9:30 ticket for FREE, but you and two of your friends will be invited to be in our video shoot!! If you can help us sell tickets, drop me a line. If you can't sell tickets but still want to come be in our video, you can also gain entry by ordering a 5-pack of tickets from our webstore.

- If you are unable to attend a street team meeting but you can help us promote for the show by getting word out with flyers, hanging posters, spreading the word online, etc, please just let me know!

Ahhhh we are all sick, so we are in need of your help! We can't do much on our own because of tour and sickness, and working on new music, so we are counting on you guys to handle a lot of promotion! We know you can do it, we've seen you guys kill it before..other bands street teams don't even compare!

Our biggest show of the year at Rams Head Live is right around the corner - less than two weeks away!! We are HEADLINING this time around, which means its our sole responsibility to pack the place! A bunch of you are already helping out by selling tickets, getting flyers out, putting up posters, etc, but we need all hands on deck for this show! Let your friends know about it, send people to the free downloads page (hotspurmusic.com/free), blog or vlog about the show, post on your facebook status or twitter about the show regularly, and of course, let me know if you can hand out some flyers to people at your school, hang posters, etc. Anything else you can think of???? :)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK THANK THANK YOU to everyone who voted for our "Chandelier" video on The Freshmen on MTVu! You won for us, and now our video is going to be in rotation on MTVu starting tomorrow! Keep your eyes peeled for it, and make sure to comment their website and stream our video whenever you see the video or whenever you feel like it! This will be a huge part of our video getting more exposure, so we are counting on you!

Alright everyone! The time has come. You now have a chance to make a HUGE difference in Hotspur world. Our video has been chosem by mtvU to be featured on their Freshman 5 show next week. This could be the thing that BREAKS OUR BAND! So you probably already know about this if you're a T.H.U.G. but we need to get an ARMY of people voting for us everyday. You can vote as many times as you want every day and text too. For more info go to http://www/hotspurmusic.com/mtvu/ Let's make this happen :-)

Here's what you can do starting Oct 19th at 11am EST:

1. VOTE CONSTANTLY (duh!)
2. Post the voting link to your facebook status multiple times a day telling people
to vote.
3. Text/call/talk to your friends reminding them to vote
4. Get people in the computer lab at your school voting
5. Myspace bulletins directing people to the voting link
6. Anything else you can possibly think of!

We'll also be doing some contests and giveaways to all who are helping us vote, but you need to join our Facebook Group, sign up for reminders on our mtvU site, and/or follow our Twitter to be eligible!

We'll touch base again before the contest starts and really try to make a big push for this! LOOOOVE YOOOU!

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you who helped us with the Jammin Java and Rams Head shows!! Both were a huge success - Jammin Java was SOLD OUT thanks to you guys, and Rams Head Live draw 600 through the door, which is really great and we are so proud and thankful for you guys. We will be planning some more street team parties soon, so touch base and let us know what your availability is like.

We've got some more big hometown shows coming up that we really need your help with, and those shows are the Hotspur Halloween Hangover on Nov 2 at Bourbon St in Baltimore (hosted by 98 Rock), The Black Cat w/ Mae on Nov 8 in DC, and the Hard Rock Cafe w/ Boys Like Girls acoustic show on Oct 11. If you can help promote or sell tickets for any of these shows, please let me know as soon as possible and we will hook you up as always!

MD, DC and VA fans - we have some big local shows coming up including Jammin Java on Aug 29 and Rams Head Live on Sept 18, and we REALLY need your help! If you are interested in getting your ticket for free in exchange for a little of your time, write me an email (scott@hotspurmusic.com) with the subject "RAMS HEAD TICKETS" or "JAMMIN JAVA TICKETS".. there will also be some special events scheduled for those who help us out with tickets.

For those in other areas, please just drop me an email or a msg here on THUGS to let me know you're still alive! We're planning some chats, contests and events and want to know what is important to you guys and how you want to be involved!

Hey Street Team - the time has come! Our new album, "You Should Know Better By Now" is out and available! We need all the help we can promoting it! Here's how you can help:

- Get a copy or some songs if you haven't already! Every song counts. Can't afford it or don't have a way to get it? Hit me up and we'll make a deal - you do some work and I'll hook you up.

- Txt your friends to tell them how good the album us and tell them to check it out on iTunes or their favorite download site. Encourage them not to get it on limewire or P2P sharing sites.

- Send out a bulletin or post a blog on MySpace about the album. Link them to iTunes (www.hotspurmusic.com/itunes), CD baby for physical CDs (www.hotspurmusic.com/cdbaby), and whatever other sites you and your friends use.

- Invite people to our event on facebook. Need an invite? Just hit up me (Scott Robinson) or anyone in the band.

- Mention the album in your facebook status or twitter.. a lot! The more the better.

- Write a blog about the album

- Review the album on iTunes or other sites

- Find blogs and forums about the album and comment them or post on forums about how you like the album (just use google!!)

- Get your friends in helping us promote the album too!
